The Sextant Group, an independent technology consulting firm, today announced the promotions of Mark Grassi CTS-D and Matt LeFeber CTS to Principal Consultant.

Mark J. Grassi CTS-D
Mark Grassi joined The Sextant Group in 2013 as a Senior Systems Designer. He successfully manages challenging corporate assignments for clients such as Google, Samsung, SAP and Under Armour. Mark’s extensive knowledge of designing and commissioning includes large-scale, custom audio, visual and broadcast systems for some of the most advanced medical simulation facilities, command and control centers, theaters, and performance spaces in the US.

Prior to joining The Sextant Group, Mark served as Senior Design Engineer, Systems Engineer and Project Engineer for a series of nationally-renowned integration firms. He also spent six years as an audio engineer and lighting designer for the multi-stage performance venue in Philadelphia. Personal experience includes designing for numerous government agencies (including the Department of Defense, where he has held DOD Top Secret (TS), plus a long list of Fortune 100 clients, hospitals and institutions of higher education. Mark holds a Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D) from InfoComm International, the highest level of certification in the audiovisual industry, and is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE).

Matthew J. LeFeber CTS
Matt LeFeber joined The Sextant Group in 2011 as Project Consultant. An expert in technology and learning space design, Matt has worked successfully with over one hundred clients throughout the country. He is a published writer who frequently leads visioning and programming workshops on how technology, space design and pedagogy converge as a unified concept for the student of the future. As a former board member on the InfoComm Certification Committee, Matt oversaw the program in which the audiovisual industry certifies its project managers, designers, and installers.

Matt’s nearly 15 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry spans higher education, corporate, and government markets. Recent projects include Google Fiber Austin Retail/Event Space, UMKC The Bloch School of Management, Washington University Saint Louis Brown School Expansion, University of Iowa Visual Arts Building, University of Michigan School of Nursing, University of Nebraska Omaha Community Engagement Center, Camosun College Victoria BC, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Health Science Education Building at the University of Nebraska Kearney.
