Improving learning outcomes is the new mantra on higher education campuses. Positioning a young, motivated, intelligent, and globally informed cohort of Millennial and Z-gen students for success in a workplace of the future is their goal. Learning spaces of all types are being designed to support peer-to-peer, collaborative, experiential, visual, service-oriented, and value-based pedagogies. To paraphrase Shift Happen’s Karl Fisch, today, campuses are focusing on preparing students for jobs that don’t exist, where they will use technology that doesn’t exist, to solve problems that don’t exist.
