Scott Ondik PE, CPP has joined The Sextant Group as Systems Designer.

A licensed professional electrical engineer who holds the prestigious Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification, Scott specializes in systems consulting, with deep experience with physical/electronic security and telecommunications cable plant. Bringing his 18+ years’ experience with integrated security, IT/network, CATV, nurse call and fire alarm systems, he’ll work with The Sextant Group’s national team of Telecom and Security Systems Designers.

Scott comes to The Sextant Group from the Denver office of a large technology and acoustical design consultancy where he held the position of Senior Associate / Manager Technology Department. In his new role, Scott will lead discussions of IT/telecom and Security strategies in support of clients’ business and technology objectives. He’ll design and specify IT/telecom and Security systems, apply principles of CP-TED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design), create infrastructure and systems drawings and perform site reviews.

Ondik understands the unique technology needs of healthcare, corporate, higher education, government/municipal, hospitality and data centers. His notable projects throughout the west and southwest include San Francisco General Hospital, Bank One Corporate Building, Texas A&M Health Science Center Research Facility, San Diego Central Courthouse, Colorado State University Morgan Library, University of Wyoming College of Business, University of Nevada Las Vegas Student Union and Data Foundry Texas-1 Data Center.

Scott’s credentials and associations include Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International. He is a member of the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) and a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.
