PITTSBURGH PA – For the fourth time in the last 6 years, we have been honored by American City Business Journals as one of Western Pennsylvania’s “Best Places to Work”. The Sextant Group ranks #31 among all participating firms, and an even more impressive #26 among firms of similar size.

The recognition announced at an October 17 awards ceremony was attended by over 500 CEO’s, HR Directors and other executives from local companies. The national Pittsburgh-based consulting and design firm specializes in audiovisual and information technologies, security, acoustics and lighting.

“Considering the remarkable growth the firm has undergone in the last year — opening a new office in Columbus, and significantly expanding personnel — I am totally delighted,” says Mark Valenti CTS. “It is an honor to be recognized. We attribute our success to the caliber of our staff. It is our people who have created the culture and environment I’m so proud of, and for which we’ve been recognized.”

Since 1995, architects across the US and Canada — and their clients in business, education, healthcare and government — continue to look to us for independent technology consulting and design for higher education, health care, corporate, performing arts, broadcast/studios and sports facilities.

We’ve added 16 new team members in the last year, and 11 more in the previous 12 months. The company is currently at 63 total employees — a 70% growth over the last 24 months. Also this year the firm moved into a new corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, virtually double the size of the previous facility.

“We developed this program to highlight the world-class workplaces that are being developed in the Pittsburgh region,” said Alan Robertson, publisher, Pittsburgh Business Times. “Best Places to Work provides employers with many benefits besides bragging rights. If you win this award, it’s great for employee attraction and retention as well.”
