Former Disney Imagineer Brings Innovation to The Sextant Group


Bringing vast experience in high-impact entertainment, immersive environments, managed services, and complex audiovisual systems, Mark Adams PMP has joined The Sextant Group’s Los Angeles office as Project Consultant.

A technology expert with nearly 20 years of diverse industry expertise, Mark will work closely with The Sextant Group’s Los Angeles team as well as consultants nationwide, providing audiovisual, IT/telecom, security, acoustics and lighting design services for higher education, corporate and healthcare clients.

As consultant to Walt Disney Imagineering, Mark was responsible for a new outsourcing program for all audiovisual equipment production at Tokyo Disney Seas and Disney’s California Adventure theme parks attractions. Mark was also Vice President of Manufacturing for Iwerks Entertainment, where he directed on-site field installations of large-screen motion picture theaters, 360 degree theaters, 3D theaters and motion simulation theaters across the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

Most recently Mark was West Coast Management Team Leader for a video managed services firm, overseeing assessment, design, integration and management of video and audio communications for clients from Apple to Walt Disney, to multinational biotech firm Amgen and global technology giant Johnson Controls. He also has served as Project Consultant and Director of Project Management for some of the most recognizable technology consulting firms in Southern California.

Project and client experience includes renovations to and/or new facilities for Walt Disney Grand Central Creative Campus, UCLA Young Research Library, Los Angeles Pierce College, Cerritos College Learning Resource Center, the Los Angeles Mission College Learning Center, Hotel Bel Aire, and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Mark is credentialed with a PMP Project Management Professional Certificate, a 6Sigma Green Belt Certificate for Quality, and is a Member of the Project Management Institute.
