To celebrate our twentieth year in business, the boss gave all 63 of us a paid day off. So on Friday, July 17th, our staff elected to volunteer and partner with over 20 charities and organizations across the US in service and celebration.

Each person chose how they would like to spend our incorporation anniversary. Activities included assisting in a neighborhood garden and stocking shelves at a nearby food pantry, hosting a hands-on workshop for children, spending time with the elderly, and preparing and serving a hot meal at a community soup kitchen. Organizations included Pittsburgh’s Little Sisters of the Poor, Northside Common Ministries, Jubilee Soup Kitchen, The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Flying Changes, the Santa Barbara Food Bank and Farmer’s Market, Omaha’s Table Grace Café, Books for Africa in Atlanta, Cornerstones Virginia, Feed My Starving Children in Phoenix, Environmental Beautification in Columbus, St. Joseph’s Home in New Jersey, Radnor Lake Clean up in Nashville, Habitat for Humanity Kansas City, Santa Monica Meals on Wheels, and Arizona’s Marana-area Food Bank.

President Mark Valenti said, “As part of our 20th year anniversary, we are delighted to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. I am proud of what our firm has accomplished and am grateful that we can give back to the communities we serve in a meaningful way.”

NBC-affiliate WPXI-TV and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette covered local volunteering in the Pittsburgh area, while the Omaha World Herald picked up our staff’s good works in the Omaha office. See the smiling faces of people enjoying giving back here.

Watch for our next community involvement event as we prepare for our 11th Annual Road Rally on Saturday, September 26th, 2015.
