From among over 700 entries submitted from 38 countries around the world, AV Magazine’s 20th annual International AV Awards honored two of The Sextant Group’s recent projects.

The Valencia College School of Arts & Entertainment Building in Orlando FL is a finalist in the Education Project of the Year category, and Kiewit University in Omaha NE is a finalist in the Corporate/Enterprise Project of the Year category.

Established in 1995, the International AV Awards honor and recognize excellence in the audiovisual industry. The criteria for the awards include
– Demonstrable commitment to, and pursuit of, the future development of AV communications
– Achievements that benefited users as well as the entering organization
– Proof of market development initiatives
– Proof of turnover or margin increases
– Proof of benefit to clients
– Evidence of technical innovation and creative solutions to communications problems

DLR Group is the architect of record for Valencia College’s School of Arts and Entertainment, with Skanska as general contractor. The project previously has received a 2018 Awards of Merit from the American Institute of Architects (A)A Orlando Chapter. Holland Basham Architects of Omaha NE designed Kiewit University, with Kiewit Building Group serving as general contractor.
